About

I am a senior lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Gothenburg’s Department of Cultural Sciences and research fellow in the Department of Media Studies at Stockholm University. I hold a PhD in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Chicago and have previously taught in the Cinema Studies Program at Oberlin College. My research revolves around topics in early film and television history, media archaeology, classical film theory, intermediality, and more recently acting in silent cinema and the film theories of Rudolf Arnheim.
